There are many issues to pay attention to when stopping mechanical processing, so mechanical processing personnel should fully understand these issues before operating their workpieces. This way, they can better shorten processing time, reduce problems encountered during processing, and improve the quality of the workpieces.
Issues to pay attention to in mechanical processing: 1. When the workpiece is too high, different lengths of tools should be used for roughing, and then a smaller tool should be used to remove the excess material. When processing flat surfaces, a flat-bottomed tool should be used, which can effectively reduce processing time. If there is a slope and it is an integer, a sloped tool should be used for processing.
For materials with high hardness, reverse milling should be chosen; for materials with low hardness, conventional milling should be chosen; finishing should use reverse milling, while roughing should use conventional milling. Tools for mechanical processing should have good toughness and low hardness, suitable for roughing; tools with poor toughness and high hardness are suitable for finishing.
Issues to pay attention to in the clamping of mechanical processing components and the selection of fixtures: 1. The clamping method for processing mechanical parts should reasonably select positioning references and clamping plans. When choosing fixed references, we should adhere to the principles of 'reference unity' and 'reference coincidence'. All surface processing in mechanical processing should be completed in as few positioning and clamping setups as possible, so it is necessary to choose a positioning method that allows all surfaces of the workpiece to be processed.
