Hydraulic press maintenance methods

May 31,2019

  1. Regularly inspect the components of the hydraulic press, 1-2 times a month. Check whether the worm gear, worm, bearings, pressure wheels, and upper and lower guide rails rotate flexibly and whether there is wear. Any defects found should be repaired in a timely manner before use.

Regularly clean the hydraulic valve and oil tank, and check or replace the sealing rings and filter elements. Regularly filter the oil or replace the oil (the oil medium is 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil).

  2. After using or stopping work, the remaining powder should be removed. Clean the residual powder from all parts of the machine. If the pressed powder has a lot of fine powder or is too viscous, it should be cleaned every two shifts. If the downtime is long, all the molds must be disassembled, and the machine should be thoroughly cleaned, with anti-rust oil applied to the surface of the components and covered with a cloth.

  3. The molds of the hydraulic press should be placed in a covered metal box and fully immersed in oil to keep them clean and prevent rust and damage. The working area should be kept clean, especially in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and edible tablets, where dust and sand must not be present.

Electrical components should be maintained, regularly inspected, and kept in good operating condition. The cooling fan should be regularly cleaned of accumulated dust using compressed air.

  4. The working environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) of electrical components should be noted. A good environment will extend the service life of the components.

  5. Maintenance of electrical components should be performed by professional technicians, especially for inverters, which should be handled with care. Generally, they should be sent to professional manufacturers for repair.

  6. Before performing insulation testing on the electrical components of the hydraulic press, all wiring of the inverter's main circuit control circuit must be removed to avoid damaging the inverter during the insulation test. For insulation testing methods for the inverter, refer to the inverter operation manual.
