Points to note for the maintenance of mechanical grinding machines
May 20,2020
When enterprises purchase machine tools, they mainly focus on the performance and price of the machine tools, while neglecting the subsequent maintenance. In fact, one can think about this from the perspective of cars around us. When we buy a car, we consider personal safety, so we tend to maintain the car in a timely manner. For machine tools, while creating benefits for the enterprise, if necessary maintenance is lacking when the maintenance cycle arrives, it is easy to encounter failures, reducing the lifespan of the machine tools.
1. Machine Tool Installation
The load-bearing capacity of the factory floor and the footprint of the machine tool during operation. If the floor's load-bearing capacity is insufficient, it will affect the reference accuracy of the machine tool. The selection of hydraulic oil and lubricating oil for the grinding machine must use new oil. For hydraulic oil, briefly use 32# or 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil, and for lubricating guide rail oil, use 46# guide rail oil. Pay attention to the model of the grinding machine and prepare enough oil. The power line's electrical matching; if the wire is too thin, it may overheat, and if the load is too heavy, it may cause a short circuit and trip the breaker, affecting the factory's electricity production. When unloading the machine tool, ensure that the unloading equipment has sufficient load capacity and that there is enough space for the machine tool to move without causing collisions or endangering personnel safety. 2. Before Machine Tool Processing
After the grinding machine is installed and positioned, check whether the oil pipes, wires, and water pipes are securely locked. When powering on the grinding machine, please first conduct a manual test to ensure that the transmission of each component is open. Operators also need to pay attention to the rotation direction of the grinding machine's spindle, the matching of the grinding wheel and the processing material, and the balance of the grinding wheel.
3. Machine Tool Grinding Processing
Check whether the workpiece is firmly attached or clamped, and the distance between the grinding wheel and the workpiece. Observe the operating speed of each transmission component and the feed during processing to prevent unexpected discoveries. After flipping or moving the workpiece for grinding, clean the magnetic disk and the workpiece's adsorption surface, and use an air gun for cleaning. The startup sequence is magnetic disk magnetization, oil pressure, grinding wheel, and valve opening/closing, while the shutdown sequence is valve opening/closing, water pump, oil pressure, spindle, and demagnetization of the magnetic disk.
4. Routine Maintenance of the Machine Tool
Before operators leave work, they should tidy up the workbench and surrounding garbage of the grinding machine and check for any oil or water leaks around the grinding machine. Check the lubrication condition of the grinding machine's guide rails weekly. Clean the grinding machine's cooling water tank every 15-20 days, replace the guide rail lubricating oil every 3-6 months, and clean the lubricating oil pool and oil pump filter when replacing the guide rails. Change the hydraulic oil every year and clean the oil tank and filter. If the grinding machine is idle for more than 2-3 days, the workbench should be cleaned and dried, and anti-rust oil should be applied to prevent rusting.
