When processing the shaft, it is necessary to pay attention to many details to ensure that the finished product meets quality requirements. The reason why many manufacturers have a high scrap rate is that they do not focus on the details during the production process. Today, let's understand what details need to be noted during processing.
1. When turning, to ensure rigidity during the turning process, it is generally required to first turn the larger diameter part and then the smaller diameter part.
2. When performing grooving operations on the shaft workpiece, in order to prevent deformation of the workpiece, the grooving operation should be done before precision turning.
3. If there are threads on the shaft, pay attention to the order during precision turning; it is generally required to process the threaded part first, and then the non-threaded part.
4. Before drilling, attention should be paid to leveling the end face of the workpiece. If necessary, a center hole should be drilled first, followed by the holes on the sides.
5. When drilling deep holes, it is generally required to drill a pilot hole first.
6. When turning holes with dimensions of (Φ10-Φ20) mm, the diameter of the tool rod should be 0.6-0.7 times the diameter of the processed hole; if the hole diameter is greater than Φ20 mm, a clamping tool head should be used.
7. When turning multi-start threads or multi-start worms, after adjusting the exchange gears, a trial cut can be made to see if it meets the process requirements.
8. If it is necessary to use a main drive lathe, the position of the blade and tool should be adjusted before use, and attention should be paid to the wear condition of the tool during the processing.
