How to maintain quality during large-scale machining?

In the process of machining, controlling the quality of raw materials is essential. Generally, high-quality raw materials are a prerequisite for producing high-quality products. Regardless of the method, raw materials must undergo strict chemical composition testing, grain size measurement, and purity assessment upon arrival at the factory. The goal is to timely adjust thermal treatment deformation and improve quality during gear processing.
Cultural consumption: Over 30% of gear transmission noise comes from burrs and impact damage. Some factories remove burrs and impact damage before assembling the gearbox, which is a passive approach. To effectively address this, organizational preparations should be made. It is important to maintain an even furnace temperature during normalizing or quenching processes and to use work tools to ensure uniform heating and cooling of the workpiece, prohibiting stacking together.
Machining requires control of gear precision. The basic requirement for gear precision, as theoretically verified, must be controlled within GB10995-887~8 levels. For gears with a linear speed exceeding 20m/s, the pitch limit deviation, radial runout tolerance, and tooth direction tolerance must consistently achieve 7-level precision.
Avoid thermal treatment deformation: After rough machining, the gear blank is processed into a precision forging, followed by normalizing or quenching treatment. Precautions for machining: Before starting work, protective gear should be worn, and gloves and scarves should be avoided. Before operating the machine tool, one must understand the functions or operating methods of each handle and check whether all parts of the machine tool are functioning normally. Before starting the machine tool, tools and workpieces must be securely clamped with a wrench, and the machine tool must not be started without the permission of the instructor.
